Peter wanted the artwork to reflect the character of the intersection then as well as now – its history of immigration, of Polish, Danish and, most recently, of Central American residents. Together, we also wanted to pay homage to the area’s arts organizations – the Chicago Academy for the Arts, the Intuit Gallery, and, of course, Chicago Dramatists.
